40 Years in the Oil Patch, What a Ride…And It Isn’t Over Yet

Over the past 40-years there have been a lot of changes in the oil and gas industry. Starting with the concern we were running out of oil in the late 70’s to today’s demand by some to break from our fossil fuel dependence. During this time the industry has been through several downturns and evolving technology has been the key to the industries survival. This presentation will discuss some of the significant changes that have impacted the oil and gas industry over the last 40 years.

  About the Speaker

Mr. Mike Eberhard is COO for SRC Energy where he is responsible for completion and production operations. Mike joined SRC in August 2015. Mike has nearly 40 years of experience working on both the service and operator side of the upstream oil and gas industry. He has focused on unconventional and horizontal well completions for the past 20 years and has authored several papers for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and was an SPE Distinguished Lecturer. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University and is a registered professional Petroleum Engineer in Colorado.
