The size of your Assets matter! But who determines the size and are they using one old ruler for everything? There are new tools for your toolbox that leverage advances in machine learning to finally deliver on the promise of "big data". Applying these tools to your data room and deal valuation work-flows is now painless and possible.

Physics-based predictive analytics are the tools being used now, proven by industry leaders, to see the full spread of uncertainty on any well in seconds. BetaZi, LLC has the only algorithm in the world that does this 100% automatically. We are used by banks, finance companies, insurers and producers to de-risk their deals, loans and investments with great confidence to capture higher ROI and obtain reliable, repeatable production forecasts. Join us on June 7 to learn more from BetaZi and the new technology they are quickly becoming famous for!

Online registration is now closed - registrations can be purchased at the door for $35. As a reminder, all sales are final; however, guest substitutions are available up to 24 hours prior to the event.

About Our Speaker

Dr. Kuzma has a PhD in Applied Geophysics from the UC Berkeley with a focus on computer learning for physical applications, a MS from UC Berkeley in Applied Geophysics and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and Planetary Science from the California Institute of Technology as well as more than twenty years of experience in mineral exploration for oil, gas and gold.

She has contributed to and published on many projects which combine computer learning with physical systems, including: building a Self-Teaching Expert System (SeTES) for shale gas production and discovery, inventing a system for tunnel detection using the passive seismic signal from motor vehicles, and developing metrics for the evaluation of computer learning algorithms for seismic data analysis. She has also worked in atmospheric fluid flow, frame semantics, and programming Graphics Processing Units and Uncertainty Quantification via polynomial chaos .

Over the course of her career she has worked on several cutting-edge projects for National labs and institutions these include:  Lawrence Berkley National Labs, Lawrence Livermore National labs, the United Nations for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization, the CIA (yes, that one) as well as numerous other public and private companies. She is a trustee on the Cal-Tech Chairman’s Committee of Geological & Planetary Sciences Division and a Founding member of the Cal-Tech Geohazards Mitigation Symposium.

She and her business partner, Janette Conradson, founded BetaZi, LLC in 2012 to bring physics-based, big data predictive analytics to oil and gas production forecasting.   In January of this year they founded PetroAlpha Energy LLC, an investment fund that utilizes a proprietary “Kuzma Hybrid-Risk Model” to engineer oil and gas production streams into enhanced ROI vehicles. Dr. Kuzma has patents both pending and granted in the USA and EU for this novel technology and its application to both production optimization and financial markets.  Dr. Kuzma lives in Truckee, California with her husband and two children.
