As the price of renewable energy continues to decrease, utilities are adding more wind and solar assets to their generation mix. Xcel Energy's generation portfolio has changed significantly in the last decade and is projected to continue to do so, resulting in a cleaner overall generation fleet while keeping costs to customers stable. But the addition of these intermittent generations sources introduce additional challenges in how the electric grid is operated. This presentation will discuss some of those challenges and how new technologies are being used to mitigate their impact. Register NowOnline registration closes 48 hours prior.
